The meeting opened at 3: 00 P. M. \'1i th the follOi.ring present:

Chief Booth announced that pw. ~~rray would be unable to attend.
The City Clerl= presented applications from the Salvation Army
and the Optimist Club which had been approved previously by r
telephone but were to, be confirmed at the meetinG. The Board con-
firmed approval of the two applications.
An application from the Epsilon SiGma Alpha Sorority to hold a
dance and place boxes for the benefit of the Heart Association was v
considered. The application was approved. '
An' application from'the Upper Pinellas Council~ Gir'l ,Scouts of
America" for their annual cooltie sale was considered. The secretary
was requested to inform them that they did not actually come under ,1/
the ordinance but the Board appreciates their cooperation. It VIas ~
decided that the sale was not actually charity as they were doing it
for the benefit of their ovm organization. However, the Chief of
Police requested that they be aslced to contact him before selling.
An application for the annual March of Dimes campaign for polio
was received from the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.
The application of the StUlcoast Heart Associa~ion for their
campaign to be held 1n February was considered and approved by the c.-~'
Board.
There being no further business~ the meeting adjourned at
