A meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on April 17, 1989 at 9':00 A.M. in the second floor conferenc~' room of Pollee Headquarters, 644 Plerc~ street, ~learwater, Florida. The following tru5t~es were present: Sergeant William Sedrick, Chairman Roy Nay, Vice-Chairman ,John De~n, Secretary, Miles Lance, Assistant City Attorney and POllce Legal Advlsor* ' Cindy Hicks, secretary to Deputy Chief Desmarais ',was present to recoljd the minutes' Trutees Donald Hibbard and William Horton lJere absent. *Arrived a few minutes late. Chairman Sedrlck called the meetIng to order at 9:00 A.M. The fIrst Item on the agenda was approval of the .minutes of the meeting held on April' 5, 1989. Motion was made by Roy May that the mInutes be approved. Seconded by John Dean. Motion carried unanlmously. Item #2 on the agenda was approval of Hare for her share values effective on April 30, 1989 (end ' of day). Motion'to made by John Dean; seconded by Roy unanimously. the request of Vicki J. her r.esignation date of approve her request was Hay. Chairman sedrick advised the Board that he had contacted three of the references listed by Southeastern Advisory Services, Inc. He talked to James stewart, G~orgia Fireman's Pension Fund; Deputy Chief 0.0. Bowman, 'Fulton County, Georgia Fire Department; Dr. Dennis Spangler from the Atlanta Allergy Clinic, P.A. in Atlanta. All persons contacted were completely satisfied with ,the services provided by ,Southeastern Advisory Services. They were all impressed with the quick response they receIve from Southeastern Adv lsory Serv ices and would fully' :recommend them. Discussion was held on goals an~ objectives, ,guidelines for investments, Board liability, fees, and contractual limitations.
