I~ '>.' +: J} <':."::<'1 , '.. ~'. c. }t('. , , I CLEARWATER POLICE SUPPLEMENTARY PENSION FUND MINUTES OF MEETING ,HELD June 19, 1981 A meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on June 19, 1981 in the 'Police Conference Room, Police Department, 644 pierce Street, Clearwater, Florida. The following Trustees were present: CHARLES F. LeCHER, Chairman SID KLEIN, Secretary Ray Kaminskas Donald Hibbard and William Sedrick were absent. Also present was Betty Ward, secretary'to Sid Klein, Chief of Police~ Richard Griesinger, Assistant, Gity Attorney, was absent. 'Mayor LeCher called the meeting to order at 1:30 P.M. and called for approval of the minutes of thc'meeting held April 17, 1981. Chief .Klein made a motion that the minutes be approved. Motion seconded by Ray Kamin~kas. Motion carried unanimously. Item number two on the agenda was the ratification of transactions made by Betty Ward. Mrs. Ward reported the following transactions needed to be ratified for the record: -~.. , . . , , -""";"'1 April 23, 1981 Increased $40,000 CD Clearwater Federal to $50,000. Interest: 13.871% April 30, 1981 Renewed $40,000 CD Clearwater Federal Interest: 14.292% May 13, 1981 Renewed $20,000 CD Fortune Federal Interest: 15.781% June 4, 1981 Renewed by Mail $40,000 CD, Tallahassee Federal - Interest: 14.741% June 12, 1981 Renewed $20,000 CD Franklin Federal Interest: 14.25% Ray K~inskas made a motion that the transactions be ratified. Motion seconded by Chief Klein. Motion carried unanimously., , Item number three on the agenda concerned the State check received by the City and transmitted to the Board of Trustees. Chief Klein reported that the State warrant was received on June 4, 1981 in the amount of $226,875.3Z and was deposited to the Barn~tt savings account. This amount represented monies due under Chapter 185, Florida State Statutes. The receipt of the check was duly noted. Item number four on the agenda was the maturing of certain certificates of deposit. He advised that there are sufficient funds available to pay the annual invoice for life insurance premiums for all participants. to Provident Insurance'Company. Also, that there are CD's maturing which will take care of. the pension benefits due William McClamma, retired Major, and David Panossian, retired Captain. Sergeant Kaminskas made a motion that the $80,000 CD at First Federal of Largo and the $80,000 CD at Franklin Federal be renewed at the best interest rate possible at maturity, and that the following new certificates of "deposit (money market) 'be purchased at the following locations: ' , $80,000 at Fortune Federal Savings and Loan 70,000 at Clea~~ater Beach Bank 70,000 at Atlantic Bank of Largo Motion seconded by Chief Klein.
