CLEARWATER POLICE SUPPLEMENTARY PENSION FUND I. Meeting held October 11, 1973 in Office of Police Chief Frank Daniels. ". Ii . The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mayor H. Everett Hougen at 10:00 A. M. .Those present were: Donald Hibbard, Jerry Roberts, Bernard Enlow, Guy Kennedy, Jr., Assistant City Attorney, 'and Chief Frank Daniels, Secretary.. " .. ..~ The one item on the agenda 'was the approval for payment of the annual invoice from Provident Insurance Company covering the premium for present participants in the Police Supplementary.Pension. Chief D~niels presented the invoice which had been corrected to show the deletion of the premium due for Frank Milano who has resigned, total amount due Provident is $48,646.62.\ Mr. Hibbard moved that the Board approve the invoice in the amount of $48, 646. 62 and that the Secretary be authorized to transfer the necessary funds from the Barnett Bank savings accoun t to the Barnett Bank checking account to pay the invoice. Motion seconded by Captain Enlow. Motion passed unanimously. . J "-./ Mrs. Ward reported that there is a balance in the Barnett Savings account of $126,638.88 and after the invoice from Provident is paid there would be a balance of $ 77, 992. 26 in the savings account. Mr. Hibbard made a motion that 'the Board invest $40,000. 00 in selected savings and loan .associations or commercial banks in the form of two separate certificates of deposit each in the amount of $20.000.00 for insurance purposes. paying a minimum of Six and One Half . Per Cent for a maxim~m of thirty months. Motion seconded by Chief Daniels. and carried unanimously. There being no further business. meeting was adjourned at 10:15 A. M.' u
