Clearwater Police Supplementary Pension Fund
10:30 A. M. in Office of Police Chief Frank Daniels.

Those members present were Donald Hibbard, Chief Daniels,
Jerry Roberts. and Guy Kennedy, Jr. In the absence of the
Chairman, . Mayor Hougen, Mr. Hibbard made a motion that
Chief Daniels be appointed temporary chairman until the
Mayor's arrival. Patrolman Roberts seconded the motion,
motion carried una.nimously. The Board considered the first
item on the agenda, the approval of invoice from Provident
Life and Accident Insurance Company covering the annual,
premium due September 17th 1972 for all present participants
of the Supplementary Pension. Patrolman Roberts made a
motion that the Board approve the invoice for payment, motion
seconded by Mr. Hibbard and carried unanimously. Mayor Hougen
arrived at the meeting and chair~d the remainder of the meeting.
Items 2, 3, and 4 'were then discussed by the Board, which
were requests from Paul H. Cason, William J. Premru, and
Blaine P. LeCouris for pension benefits. Patrohnan Boberta
made a motion that th~ secretary submit these three names
and hi ormation pertaining thereto to Mr. Kennedy for his
submission to the State Treasurer's Office (Mr. Harry Boggs)
for their ~eview and approval. Mr. Hibbard seconded the
motion and motion carried unanimously.
The Board then took up Item 115, the filling of the vacancy on the
Board which was created by the retirement 0 f Major Blaine
LeCouris. It was also brought forth at this time by the Secretary
that the term of Patrolman Roberts had also expired. These
vacancies are both filled by an election held at Police Headquarters
by the members of the department participating in the supplementary
pension fund. The Chairman suggested that an election be held for
the vacancy on the Board created by retirement of Major LeCouris
and that the Board submit Jerry Roberts' name for re-appointment.
Mr. Hibbard made a motion that the secretary set up the election
to fill these vacancies. Motion seconded by Jerry Roberts and
carried unanimously.
, Secretary Daniels noted that the minutes of the last meeting had not
been approved. The Chairman advised that if there were no
additions, corrections or deletions to the minutes they would stand
approved as written. The minutes were approved.
There being no further business, meeting was adjourned at 11:10 A. M.
