" ;:<:i , " ',' Clearwater Police Supplementary Pension Pund. MINUTES of 'Meeting held on l~ebruary 3. 1970 in the Office of the Police Chief. Tl?-ose prescnt were: H. Everett Hougen. Chairman. Donald Hibbard, Guy L. Kennedy., Jr.. Assistant City Attorney. Police ,Chief Frank Daniels and Patrolman ,Terry Roberts. Major Blaine LeCouris was absent due to illness. This being the first scheduled meeting since the appointment of .Jerry Roberts . to the Board of Trustees. Patrolman Hoberts was welcomed to the meeting by the Board members. Chairman Houge'n ,called the meeting to order at 10:30 A. M. Item Number One on the agenda being the 'authorization for payment of premium for the " increased benefits. Mr. Ktmnedy read a: letter from Harry Boggs of the State Treasurerl s Office, in which he stated that the Treasurer I s Office had approved the increased benefits as proposed by Provident Life and Accident , Insurance Company,of Chattanooga. Mr. Kennedy also advised that the Legal Depa~tment had prepared Ordinance No. 1244 which was adopted on January 19'- ,1970 increasing the formula for the Police Supplementary Pension from. 09% to 1.30/0. ,'~ " Chief Daniels reported that the billing from Provident Insurance Co. for the increased benefits and for those men coming into the Plan on September 17, 1969 was $15.044.71. Mr. Hibbard made a motion that the Trustees grant authority for the payment of the increased benefits and for the new men who have bee,n brought into the Plan as of last September. and that authorization be granted for the withdrawal from savings to pay said premium. Motion seconded by Officer Roberts and carried unanimously. There being no further business. the meeting was adjourned at 11:15 A. M. Respectfully submitted. C ' /- -- L\\.~ .
