MINUTES OF MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 28, 1966 in the Office of Police
Chief Booth.

Meeting was called to order
Mayor Joe Turner, Chairman;
capt. William McC1amrna, and
2 P.M. September 28, .1966. Present:
Mr. Jack Martens; Chief Booth, Secretary;
Sgt. E. Lester Marston.

A written recommendation was submitted 'from Mr. Jack Martens, dated
september 27, 1966 in which Mr. Martens recommended that the Board of
Trustees, withdraw the ltbalance of accountll from the following Savings
and Loans: 1st Federal, Oca1a'
1st Federal, Orlando
1st Federal Sarasota

1st Federal" Melbourne'
1st Federal, winter Haven

and,as the checks are received, place them in one year certificates of
Deposits ,in the banks of Clearwater.

Mr. Martens then made the following motion, 1II move that the Trustees
of the Clearwater Police Supplementary Pension Fund approve the action
'of withdrawing funds on deposit in Florida savings 'and Loan Associations
and re-investing them with the seven Clearwater banks on a pro rata
basis~ the investments should be in the form of one year 5% C.D"'s not
in excess of $10,000.00 in anyone institution, and further, that the
sums on deposit in the Western Savings and Loans should be established
at a fixed $10,000 figure, and any excess or any interest payments should
be remitted to the pension fund.
Motion seconded by Sgt. Marston. Motion carried unanimously.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned 3:15 P.M.
