A meeting of the Board of Trustees, Clearwater Police Supplementary
Pension Fund, was held in the Conference' Room, City National Bank
_,> r at 10:30 A.M. on May 1964.
.' Present were Chief Booth, Jack Martens, Guy Kennedy, Jr., and Captain
William McClamma. Mayor Robert Weatherly, Chairman, and Sgt. F.Lester
Marston were absent.
Captain McClamma submitted a report from the committee which was
appointed to investigate compensating Mrs. Betty Ward for secretarial
services rendered.
Captain McClamma made a motion that the report submitted by this
committee be accepted, and that Mrs. Ward be compensated as stipulated
in the report,.( Copy of report attached hereto.) Motion seconded and
carried unanimously.
There was a discussion of methods of investing and administering the
Auxiliary Fund. Chief Booth, secretary, was instructed to write to
Provident Life and Accident Insurance Co, for their proposal.
F., There was a discussion of the present methods of investing and
administering the Fund. A discussion was held regarding-the fact that
none of the Trustees are bonded, funds are loosely handled.
Motion was made by Mr. Martens that Trustees place all miry monies within
their control, except for a nominal checking account, in Federally
insured savings and loan associations, using discretion as to geographical
distribution, using anticipated rate of return and convenience. Seconded
by Capt. MCClamma. Motion carried unanimously.
