A meeting of the Clearwater Police Supplementary Pension Fund was held
r~. at the Driftwood Cafeteria on september 27, 1963 at 12, noon. Pr~sent
'--,j at this meeting Were: Board of Trustees;"Wi11is D. Booth, secretary;
Mr. Jack Martens, Capt. William Mcclamma, and sgt. E.Lester Marston.
Also attending were Guy Kennedy, Jr., Assistant city Attorney, and
Betty Ward, Secretary to Chief Booth, Capt. Frank Daniels, former
Board of Trustee, and Mr. W. W. MacDougal, representative of Provident
Insurance Company.
In the absence of Mayor Weatherly, chairman, Chief Booth acted as
Chairman of this meeting.
Chief Booth advised the Trustees that a letter had been written, pursuant
to a motion made at the last meeting, to Kenneth McCreary, City Finance
Director, instructing him to forward to the ,Trustees all monies in escrow
at city Hall in excess of $1,000.00 for deposit to the Pension Fund Bank I
Account at the city Nati9nal Bank, quarterly. Chief Booth stated that
an answer had been rec~.ived from Mr. McCreary advising that this will be
complied with.
Chief Booth then turned the meeting over to Mr. W.W. MacDougal, a
representative of Provident Insurance Company, who explained the r~~~nt
increased benefits as a result of the recent acturaria1 survey made by
Provident Insurance Company. ~e Trmstees voted unanimously to adopt ,
the new formula proposed by Pr v+F.ent,and to send a ~op~ of said ~,~.

A discussion was held as to whether or not the 1% deduction from the h) ~ !
participant's paycheck be continued, due to fact that the city pension ~ ~
had increased their contribution to 6%. ;( Chief Booth thought it best ~. :
to bring it before all members and let them vote on this matter. A . 7:
motion was made by Capt. Mcclamma that a departmental meeting be called
by Chief Booth for this purpose, and that a vote be taken as to whether,
