'... ~ I 1. Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. in Annex Conference Room. 2. Minutes approved as published. 3. Isaiah.s Inn waS discussed. It is a badly needed resource for. the homeless. 1" , '....d""oJ~ ~~...... 4. Guess Speaker: Jeff Pruitt, of the Clearwater Planning and Urban Development, spoke on the current city and state Comprehensive Planning Program. He explained the program and the need for public participation. 'The process is now being set up and Jeff will return to the Committee on additional meeting dates. There will be a Housing Task Force which will develop and review the Housing Element. A Housing Element issues sheet was distributed. Suggestions were made by the Committee for additional housing issues. 5. Jim Sheeler reviewed the detail of past year's expenditures. '\ 6. There was concern that individual gas meters are being installed in Condon Gardens, and that low income people may be required to pay for the meters. Mrs. Atkins will con~Bct the Housing Authority for more information. 7. Neighborhood Advisory Committee meetings are public meetings. A special effort will be made with advertising and word of mouth for hearing of potential new projects at the March meeting. 8. It was decided that after the second unexcused absence from the Conunittee, the member will he advised that he/she will be considered to have vacated the membership on the Committee, if there is a third consecutive absence. There was concern exprl:!sscd that if kids and other groups llr~ saan with weapons or in other th~eatening manner, that the Poli~c should . investigate more rather than ignore them. The Committee meets on II mo'nthly basis, usually the second Tuesday of each month at the City Hall Annex, Planning Conference Room at 7 :30 P.M.
