1. The rental rate for the use of City Community Centers'
was again, questioned by Mrs. Martin, and a response
was promised before the next committee meeting. (The
attached application is used to determine the cost
of the event - all costs are based upon experience

2. Mrs. Martin inquired about the new development by
Allied Van Lines at the corner of N. Greenwood Avenue
and Eldridge Street. The area is zoned "Light

homes of the truck drivers) She 'feels that they
constitute a safety hazard.

was presented by Mr. Jass, and after a review by
Committee members, they recommended approval of the

4. Mrs. Atkins reported on progress of rehabilitation
at Condon Gardens - new roofs are being installed.
The new metal doors on some units are presenting a
problem because they require repeated adjustment.
5. Mr. Miller inquired as to the hours of operation of
the new police sub-station in North Greenwood. He
was informed of their varying schedule, and coordination
with outside patrol activity to give maximum protection

He also inquired as to the fee schedule for patrons
of the Clearwater Country Club. He indicated that
Dunedin has set a special rate for residents, and

at Clearwaterts Country Club is set by the Board of

although the present fees are less than private
courses in the Tampa Bay Area.

of the' police sub~station, and that the police have
been helpful in cleaning up the neighborhood.
7. Mrs. Brooks requested that Clearwater purchase the

School - price $250,000 - and that it be used for
a swimming pool and recreation facilities.
8. Mrs. Stephenson reported that the Res Food Pantry
is serving more and more people, and that they are
using more volunteers and less paid staff. She
also reported the 5 units at the Emergency Housing
facility on Holt Avenue are going to be rehabilitated
in the near futUre.
