Pate Hutchens Carol Nielsen Bernard Panush Virginia Watson Linda,Mielke, ex-officio Absen t : Frederick Dunn, excused Thalia Kelsey, excused Katherine Merriam, excused Jack Wilson, excused Guests: Shirley Hunt, GCPL Foundation GE Company representatives I The meeting was called to order by ,Chairman William Donovan at 9:35 a.m. The minutes of the January meeting were approved as submitted. Mrs. Mielke reported that the Penny for Pine lIas lO-year projection has been trimmed a lot. Mrs. Mielke stated that the Library budget reduction has still not made the City Commission agenda. Mrs. ~lielke is faced with a reorganization and will have to show salary savings. There was discussion of the recent appointment of Michael Wright as City Manager and Kathy Rica as Deputy City Manager. Mrs. Hielke displayed a logo design "Informing Clearwater for 75 Years" for the 75th Anniversary celebration. Events are being planned for one year. At this time the Library Board adjourned to the Reference Center to examine the installation of an electronic mail system by GE Company to be used by patrons sending messages to troops involved in Desert Storm. The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
