d) Both air-conditioners at Main down.
2. Mr. Reis mentioned the recent letter in the Sun complaining
of no Sunday hours for any library in the County. Upon
Mr. Hardaway's question about the Community College's
Library hours, Ms. Goss gave them as
Monday - Thursday 7:30 a.m..- 10:00 p.m.
Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday Sunday Closed
Ms. Goss went on to say that week-end hours had been tried
but so few patrons made use of the Library at these times
that the cost of opening per patron was prohibitive. Mr.
Hardaway commented along the same line about Clearwater
Public Library lack of staff to stay open any longer-hours'
and the cost effectiveness of such hours anyway.

3. There was considerable discussion about the Civic"Center
and the unfortunate linking of a new Library building-with
the Center." The Board members expressed-disillusionment
with the lack of weight Board recommendations seemed to
have with the Commission. It was agreed that a concerted
campaign must be mounted"to secure a new library building.
