CLEARWATER PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD MINUTES OF THE ~lEETING OF FEBRUARY 19, 1972 1:30 p.m. ~ 2:30 p.m. CITY HALL PRESENT: Mr. Fred Korosy, Chairman Mrs. Ruth Johnson Mrs. Theresa GOBS Mr. Elliott Hardaway, Director Mr. Larry Reis ' Mrs. Johnnie Mae Moore ABSENT: Mrs. Maryanne Biggs Hrs. Reina Pollack Mrs. Audrey Patouillet Mrs. Elizabeth Hasbrouck Mrs. Jessica Kerr Dr. Donald MacDonald II The minutes of the meeting of January 21 were approved as mailed. Mrs. Johnson reported on the progress of the Steering Committee for the organization of a Friends group. All committees'are hard at it. The organizational meeting will be held at the Library, on Tuesday, March 21 at 8 p.m. Members of the Library Board are ex- pected to be present and act as hosts and hostesses. Mr. Korosy reported that the Autho~sr reception will be sponsored by the Library Board. It will be on Tuesday, April 4, 8 p.m. at the Library. Mr. Larry Reis was designated chairman for the Authors' reception committee. The following names were submitted for ad- dition to the list of authors previously distributed to the Board: Robe~t Hackworth Robert Alwin Terry Johnson King Herb Allen Rube Allen Joe Gould Neil Langford Lynn Watkins Doug Storer Ray Patouillet Mr. Korosy reportea that the Wickman Fund had been set up as a special fund in the City Binance Director's office. He has talked with Mrs. Riley McGraw (formerly Betty Wickman) and she has indicated an interest in meeting with the Wickman committee and will do so. Mr. Korosy has also written to Mr. Wickman's mother sugges~ing a five hundred dol- lar annual contribution to the Wickman Fund.
