MINUTES OF THE ~mETING
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 10, 1971
1:30 p.m. ~ 3:00 p.m.
ABSENT:
TI\C minutes of the meeting of November 19, 1971 were read and approved.
There were no reports from the Planning or Publicity Conunittees. Mrs. Johnson
reported briefly on her talks with Mr. Tom Dreier about the organization of the
St. Petersburg Friends.
Mrs. Patouillet and Mrs. Johnson attended the recent Trustee Workshop in Tampa.
Their feeling seemed to be that the workshop was not especially effective, .but the
opportunity to meet and talk individually with a wide variety of people \~as productive.
Mrs. Patouillet reported that she had been informed that the priorities for state
. action at the next legislative session were 1) Mental health 2) Correctional
institutions 3) State library.
The consideration of the draft of By-Laws was post-paned since the chairman of
that committee was not present.
The meeting adjourned for a tour of the Library w~th the architects who are to
do the design work for renovation. City Manager Stierheim joined the group just as
the tour was completed~ and a discussion of the next steps to be taken ensued, i.e.
consummation of a contract with the architects and a report on the total library
proj oct from the Director and the Board to the City l>lanager. .
