' #~ The regularly scheduled meeting of the Clea~iater Library Board was held Friday, June 19, at the Main Library. The meeting was called to order at 1,:30 p.m. by the Secretary, Mrs. Richard Biggs. Present were Dr. Macdonald, Mr. Reis, Mrs. ' Hasbrouck, Mrs. ~toore, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs.' Reeves and Mrs. Biggs. Minutes of the May meeting were approved as corrected. Statistical reports for May were distributed. Mrs. Biggs read a letter from Mayor Hougen regarding the resignation of Library Board Chairman, the Rev. Robert E. Coleman. The floor was opened for nominations for the office of chairman. Dr. Macdonald nominated Mr. Korosy. ~Ir. Reis sec- onded the nomination and then moved that nominations be closed. The motion was seconded and carried. The secretary declared Mr. Korosy elected Chairman. The floor was then opened for nominations for the office of Vice Chairman, Dr. Mac- donald nominated by Mr. Reis. The nomination was seconded by Mrs. Reeves. Mr. Reis moved that nominations be closed. The motion was seconded and carried. The secretary declared Dr. Macdonald elected Vice Chairman. Due to the absence of Mr. Korosy, Or. Macdonald chaired the remainder of the meeting. Mrs. Hasbrouck gave a report on the library services available at'the ~tain Li- brary and the two branches. ~1rs. Moore reported that the special committee for the Edward Allen Henry Jr. Collection had met on June 11. Books donated by Mrs. Ware were approved by the committee as appropriate for the collection. Mrs. Biggs moved that the Board request from the City Commission suitable official stationery. separate from that of the Library director. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Johnson and carried. Mrs. Johnson then moved that the Board request a petty cash fund in the wmount of $100., to defray expenses incurred by the Board including but not limited to those expenses incurred by the officers in the discharge of their respective duties.
