The Clearwater Library Board met on Friday 15 of August 1969. Mrs. Filewicz
took the place of Chairman Coleman who was absent.
Members present were:
Kil1effer~ Korosy~ Haasbrouck~ Filewicz, Macdonald, Byers and Akerman.
Some of the board members had met on two occasions with Mr. Stierheim to dis-
cuss the survey made by Dr. Sessa and presented to the members in printed
form.
Mr. Korosy had several comments and observations which were concerned mainly
with the building and personnel. He feels the elevator from the basement could
be used to save the employees many steps.
Mr. Korosy made a motion to urge the city manager to have an engineering survey
of the existing library building and investigate the possibility of shoring
present foundation. The motion was seconded and pass unanimously.
Mr. Korosy also advocated increases in salary for the employees and suggested
that rental collections be disposed of.
A motion was then made and seconded to recommend to the city manager that two
(2) professional librarians be added to the present staff as soon as feasible.
Mr. LOTOSY also thought microfilming should be started.
~lr. Killeffer complimented Dr. Sessa on the fine report and said in his opinion
three major things were needed.
1. The present facilities are inadequate.
2. More people are needed to do the work.
3. Many housekeeping details upgraded.

leased to the press at his discretion. The motion passed and it was agreed
:1'
by general consent to have ten copies made.
