The Clearwater Library Board met on January 29, 1965 at the main library. Those
present were members:
Coleman, Filewicz, Byers, Killeffer, Akerman and Williams.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
No change has been made yet in the hours for the Beach Branch Library. ~fr.
Killeffer said his group were very interested in having the beach library open
after the close of business.
About twenty or thirty men appreciate the new books and the Wyckman collection.
There is a definite demand on the part of the boating crowd as the publicity has
stimulated awareness of the facilities available. Other such collections could
be started now.
The money under the control of The Friends of the Library has been traced to the
point of determining that there is no imcorporated Friends of the Library (Clear-
water) and never has been. Mr. Williams talked with Mr. Horner who agreed to get
some kind of information from his wife. However, nothing has been heard from
that source.
Miss Byers tried but was unable to contact Judge Phillips on the subject. Mr.
Williams and!,Mr. Killeffer will make an appointment to discuss the matter with
Judge Phillips before the next meeting.
Mr. Edmunds has told Dr. Coleman that he would be delighted to help in any way
to determine the best use of the space beneath the main library. He will have
to see the plans.
The meeting adjourned at 2:47.
