Miss Sarah Byers, Director
The Clearwater Library Board met at 1:30 PM, July 17, 1964. Present were members:
Williams, Killeffer, Filewicz, Akerman and Byers.
The meeting was primarily to take up the new budget and Miss Byers noted that
$25,000 was included for books instead of $15,000 which was the estimate for last
yeaT.
Insertions were made calling for changes if improvements were made in the lower
level of the library. ~fiss Byers expressed hope for this addition, speaking of
the advantages of a walk-in level and the hazards of the present state.
Mr. Killeffer gave his views on the subject and told of a plan by the Chamber of
Commerce for promoting scientific interest and special collections. The Chamber
is working on an over all plan to include various educational stimulants.
Miss Byers also added two additional employees to the ne,'1 budget, bringing the
estimate to a little over $100,000.
After a discussion of the proposed County Book Mobile, the meeting was adjourned,
2:50 P M.
