The Clearwater Library Board met on June 12, 1964. Present were members:
Coleman, Kille£fer, Byers and Akerman
Mr. Gerakis attended the meeting and presented his need for more help in getting
books and material for his course in Americanism vs Communism. The board was
very interested and agreed to help in any way. Mr. Gerakis would like to start
a "Freedom Library" for Clearwater.
Miss Byers brought copies of statistics for April and May, 1964.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Chairman Coleman told
of his continuing search for the architects drawing showing development idea for
space under the library.
Miss Byers suggested that the non-resident student fee be raised from .$1.00 to
$2.00. Also that budget increase for 1964 include more books and a minimum staff.
The cataloguing is profressing much faster by starting work earlier.
The board adjourned and will met on Friday July 17, 1964 to take up budget.
