P. Q. BOX 1328
Clearwater, Florida
Miss Sarah Byers, Director
The libr.ary board met December 2l, 1962 at the main library. Present were
members:
Coleman, Killeffer, Stewart', Williams and Akerman.
Mr. Killeffer reported progress on the fund being set up to cover donations.
The Wickman collection is drawing a great deal of attention; last week there
were over 50 volumes and more promised. He stressed the need for publicity,
saying that the people who use this marine collection are ,most enthusiastic.
Students in the senior class at high school, as well as teachers and primcipal,
have requested a change in Saturday library hours. Mr. Killeffer made a mo-
tion to have the hours be from 9 to 5 beginning January 12, 1963, and a contin-
uing census kept on students using the facilities on Saturday. The motion was
carried.
One of the long time employees will leave soon and there is need for a replace-
ment as well as two additional personnel. Seven people have passed the civil
service examination and the board members have volunteered to assist Miss Byers
in interviewing these applicants.
A sign for the beach branch library has been ordered and will be installed very
soon.
