The City Library Board met on October 15th. 1959 at 10:30 A.M. in Mr. William
Goza's office.
The President stated that he had talked wi~h Mrs. Brown of the Civil Service
Board, and the job of Clerk-Typist at the Library has been changed to Clerk-
Stenographer. Also that Mrs. Dorothy Grant is retiring after 30 years of ser-
vice to the Library.
It was agreed by members present that a Resolution of Thanks be sent ~trs. Grant)
and a request be made to the City Commissioners that a similar resolution be
made by them.
Mr. Stewart) City Manager, requested that this Board work directly with the Archi-
teet on the addition to the present Library. The Stat~ Library Board will be.
asked to assist.
An accounting will be asked of the funds from fines) rentals and coke machine
in the Library.
It was decided that each member of the Board will make periodic visits to the
Library at specified times.
Meeting was adjourned at 11:45 A.M. Next meeting scheduled for November 13th.
