Mrs. Annie Owen, Librarian Clearwater Public Library Clearwater, Florida Dear Mrs. Owen: Your letter of the 21st addressed to Mayor Green with reference to the addition of book stacks, was presented to the Commission at its meeting. last night. The Commission voted to table this request for the present, but furthermore, to advise that there would be no objection to using your budget funds for this purpose, if you desire to do so. Very truly yours, A. C. NICHOLS, City Manager. ACN:W CC to Mr. Taver Bayly, Pre5i~ent Clearwater Public Library Board Clearwater, Florida "--- LOCAL HISTORV COllECTION :."" .1. ~,,~ . ~~. . '.~:: :.' OWing to the terribly crowded conditions in the Public Library our books are having to be placed on the windowsills (where they are exposed to the weather); on tables. floors. and every available space. Is there any possible chance for you to allow us $300.00 for extra book- stacks in order to take care of these books? Some of them are very val- uable. If. and when. we do get our promised addition, these stacks would be one less thing to be purchased. Yours truly, Mrs. T. o. Owen Librarian ..j ;I.bCAt Hlnfjlt~ .tOllEC1ltj~
