A meeting of the Clearwater Library Board was held in the Chamber of Commerce
Board room, Tuesday June 18th at A P. M.
Present: Mr. Bayly, President; Mrs. Pearce; Mr. Cornwell; Mr. Paxton. Pres-
ident in the chair.
Owing to the fact that the President was called away the regular routine was
dispensed with and financial reports postponed until next time.
The librarian reported that a typewriter was urgently needed, and was author-
ized to keep the one which had been sent on approval, and which was proving satis-
factory; a rebuilt Royal, at the special price of'$50.
A request was made through the librarian from the Sunset Point Biome Demon-
stration Club, for the loan of some books, to help in the work of self-improvement.
After some discussion, it was moved by Mr. Cornwell, seconded by Mr. Paxton, that
"This library be authorized to loan to a group of responsible people for such time
as may be agreed upon, subject to renewal, such books as the librarian considers
the library is not in immediate need of, without charge." Motion carried, and
librarian instructed to select such books as might be suitable.
The meeting was then adjourned.

Gentlemen:
The Sunset Point Home Demonstration Club wishes to express
appreciation for the Branch Library established in the Club House. We
assure you the books are being well cared for and used, and are doing
an untold good to people who seldom, if every, had an opportunity to use
the Library.down town.
We also appreciate the service Mrs. Owen renders each Wednes-
day when she gives up her own luncheon hour to come and take care of the
library needs here and bring us literary messages, and instruction.
Very sincerely
The Sunset Point Home Demonstration
Club.
