A special call meeting of the Library Board was held in the Chamber
of Commerce Board Room on Monday October 17th 1932.
Present
W. A. Davis, president.
T. Bayly, vice-president.
Mrs. Aiken.
Rev. A. T. Cornwell.
tofr. H. Paxton.
A letter from the city to the Board was read by the president, advising
that the Library budget had been cut another $1000.00.

After ways and means to, best meet this emergency had been thoroughly
discussed, it was proposed by Rev. A. T. Cornwell, seconded by Mr. Paxton,
that Miss Moase's services be dispenses with, with 30 days notice. This was
further changed to one month's salary in lieu of notice. A letter, copy of
which is placed in minutes, was written to Miss Moase, and signed by ull
members of Board.
There being no farther special business, meeting adjourned.

Book Week (November 13-20) was the most successful ever held.
Teachers brought 586 scholars to the Library when talks were given on
books etc. and stories told to each group.
143 posters were submitted. These were displayed for another
week owing to the interest of the public.
About 300 hundred children at the distribution of the prizes
Saturday morning. Money for prizes and pencils was donated (pencil
given each contestant)
30 new chi1drents books were donated, also several others.
