Clearwater Public Library Board held its regular monthly meeting April B _ 1924.
Mr. Davis, Mr. Bayly, Mrs. Aiken present.
Minutes for the previous meeting read and approved.
Bills for the month's current expenses read and approved (opposite page)
The acceptance of the gift of books from Mr. Alvard and a letter addressed to him
expressing appreciation of the gift and assurance that they would be properly
provided for by the secretary. Motion by Mrs. Aiken, seconded by Mr. Davis.
Librarian's report for the year ending January 1st 1924 read and motion for
acceptance by Mrs. Aiken, sec. Mr. Davis. Petty cash report for the year ending
Jan. 1st 1924 read. Motion for acceptance Mr. Davis, seconded Mrs. Aiken.
Motion was made by Mrs. Aiken, seconded by Mr. Davis that the city manager be
asked to appoint Rev. A. T. Cornwall on the expiration of DeLisle Hagadorn's term
and his desire to resign on account of age and ill health.
This being the annual meeting the following officers were unanim6usly elected
W. A. Davis, President
Taver Bayly, Vice--President & Treasurer
Grace E. Moase, Secretary
The subject of an assistant was then discussed. Mr. Bayly being appointed to see
Mr. McMullan, Supt. of Schools for the recommendation of one or more of the high
school pupils for the place, with the understanding they were to work without
compensation until their services were considered of material value.
Motion to adjourn in order.
