MINUTES DATE ~~ I~ Lft' - II 8> '" Sept. 11 - 1916 }. -..''\ Meeting called to order at 7:30, Mr. Hagadorn in the chair. Minutes of the last meeting read and approved. Resignation of Mrs. Parker read and upon motion it was accepted. Miss Duncan was then appointed Secretary to the Board, this office to be held in the future by librarian in charge. See instructed write a note to Mrs. Parker accpeting her resignation with regrets. The following bills were then ordered paid: - To Mr. Hagadorn $ 2.22 Electric Light Co. 1.00 John Phillipoff 26.13 Communication from Baker & Taylor Co. relative to time allowed on pnyolcnt of books read and ordered filed. Motion made and carried for book purchasing committee to meet in two weeks, on Monday evening, Sept. 28th at 7:30, to make out the list of books for fall order. Secretary instructed to publish a'notice in the Evening Sun asking for suggestions of books from library users. Motion made and carried to place an order with Mr. McKisBon for 11 tables at $5.00 each, to be delivered as Boon as possible. Moved and carried that the reception to the public is the new Carnegie Library be held on Thursday evening Sept. 14th from 7 to 9.30 oclock. Secretary instructed to write an invitation to Mr. Edward H. Jones to receive with the Board at the reception. Mr. Bayly was enpowered to make arrangements for a substitute librarian while Miss Duncan is on her vacation.
