Pursuant to call of President Jones a meeting of the d:f.rectors was held
at the library at 11 0 clock a.m. December 3rd 1911. Present, Mrs. Dovey,
ijrs. Wright, Mr. McClung, and President Jones.
On motion President Jones was authorized to engage the services of Miss
Duncan at a salary of $20 per month to April and then $12 after to 1st of
year, as librarian.
Mrs. Watkins was elected corresponding secretary to fill the vacancy caused
by the resignation of Mrs. Wilcox, who removed from the city.
Authority was given President Jones to purchase new books and order new
periodicals for the reading room to the assesment of $175.00
Notices were ordered printed to hang in the stores, hotels, etc.
The library conwittee was authorized to open the library and reading room
daily, back to morning and afternoons after January 1st 1912 - to require
deposits from non-residents and to establish a list of books that could
only be taken for seven days.
Board then adjourned.
