A called meeting of the directors of the Clearwater Library Association was held
at the library, Wednesday morning June 25 - 1911, at.cleven 0 clock, all being
present except Mrs. Aiken. In the absence of the Secretary the reading of the
minutes of last meeting was dispensed with.
After discussion as to the ammount of shelf space, President Jones was instructed
to order four more cases, similar to those now in use to be placed in the center
of the rooms back to back, Price $12.00 each.
.}
On motion it was discussed that warrants be made out and left with Treasurer, one
for each month's rent and one for each month's salary of ,the librarian from July
1st to Dee 1st. After considerable interesting discussions it was ordered that
the reading room be closed as a reading room here after on Monday afternoons and
that instead the necessary time be devoted by the librarian to a "Children's
Hour" for the entertainment and instruction of children.
Anticipating that during the summer months many of the directors and officers may
be absent from the city and not wishing to have the librarian's term expire
during such an inconvenient season, the president was, on motion, directed to
engage the service of Hiss Thomson as librarian, to Dec 1st instead of Oct lst
as directed at the last meeting.
Board then adjourned
Respectfully submitted
Chas. H. Evans
