Thursday morning May 25th, 1911. The Board of Directors met in the Library
Rooms - President Jones presiding.
Those present were Directors Pearce, Jones, Mrs. Dovey, Mrs. Wright, Rev.
Sparkman, and Secretary Evans.
Upon motion by Mr. Sparkman, seconded by Mr. Pearce, President Jones was
instructed to close deal with Mr. Phillipoff for desk and table.
Upon motion of Mr. Sparkman, seconded by Mr. Pearce, the lib'rarian's salary
was fixed at 12.00 per month.
Upon motion it was agreet that Teresurer be authorized to pay warrants when
duly signed by one of the board of directors. Motion was carried that $115
be appropriated As.follows. $75 for library, $25 for juvenile, and $15 for
dictionary.
The board authorized that the following magazines be subscribed for to be
placed in the reading room; Outlook, World's Work, Literary Digest, St. Nich-
olas, National Geographical. Magazine, Life and McClures. The librarian was
employed to Oct 1st 1911, salary to be fixed at a later meeting. Upon motion
the insurance policies were placed with Mr. J. E. Lambeth.
It was agreed that all memberships would begin June 1st 1911.
Board then adjourned.
