ASSISTANT RADIO ENGINEER FOR BLANKS EVERITT - "'~ ,. , ~ .J I ~ I A G R E E MEN T THIS AGREEMENT, made this 2nd day of JANUARY, 1962, authorized and executed by and on behalf of the CITY OF CLEAR- WATER, FLORIDA, a Municipal corporation located in Pinellas County, Florida, by its duly authorized officers, the said municipality being hereinafter referred to as "City", and ROLAND T. JONES. party of the second part, hereinafter referred to as "Jones". WITNESSETH THAT: WHEREAS, the party of the first part operates, maintains and uses various and sundry radios, radio receivers, radio stations, and other equipment of a like nature in the course of its governmental functioning, and WHEREAS, it presently employs a radio engineer to-wit: BLANKS A. EVERITT to supervise and manage the foregoing facili- ties, and, WHEREAS, the said Blanks A. Everitt now needs the services and assistance of a qualified person to alleviate the work and labor overload now imposed on him, and, WHEREAS, the party of the second part is uniquely qualified and skilled in the maintenance. supervisions, repair and in- stallation of radio equipment, and WHEREAS, the party of the first part deems it economically advantageous, conducive to better service and efficiency to a~- ploy party of the second part as assistant radio engineer, NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and covenants of the parties, and the additional consideration of One Dollar paid by the party of the second part, receipt of which is acknowledged by the party of the first part, IT IS MUTUALLY COVENANTED AS FOLLOWS: 1. Party of the first part agrees to pay to the party of the second part the sum of $350.00 per month to be paid accord- ing to the regular city pay periods and based on a 40-hour week period. Everitt then party of the second part shall be paid additional compensation at the rate of $ none per hour. 2. Party of the second part agrees to perform such services in connection with the maintenance. repairing and in- sta11ation of radio equipment as shall be directed and author- - ------ -:Lied by the said Blanks A. Everitt. 3. This contract shall become effective as of January 2. 1962 and will terminate January 2. 1963, provided the parties hereto give notice of their desire to terminate on said date; otherwise, it shall remain in full force and effect indefinitely. It is further mutually agreed that either party may withdraw from said contract by giving to the other party thirty (30) days' notice of their intention to do so in writing after which all their rights, .duties and obligations under this instrument shall become null and void.
