J. Ayres OTHERS PRFSERr: ' Henry St.Jean - Chief, Permits & Lnspections Philip Bennis - Acting Code Analyst' The meeting was called to order by Chairman.'Jchn Batstone at 2:10 P.m., Tuesday, October 21, 1980. Mr. Howard C. Batt, Attorney-representing Lifetime of Vacations, presented his. client's request for an appeal from the decision of the Building Director wherein his client was denied an extension of the permit for a temporary sales trailer. Mr. Ayres explained to the'Board that his denial was based on the availability of a completed condominium unit that could be used as a sales office. Dir. Batt explained that, although two.units had been completed, they could not be used simultaneously as both model and sales office, due to the need for a sales staff of approximately fifteen people, duplicating machines, desks, etc. He further explained that it had been his clients intent to construct a sales office at grade level., but this had been delayed pending approval to construct the facility below the flood elevation. Mr. Batt stated that, since the variance to build below flood level had now been approved, his client anticipated being able to complete construction of the sales office within another forty-five days, at which time his client's need for a temporary sales trailer would no longer exist. After lengthy discussion, Mr. Walker made the following motion: "Upon consideration of the appeal of Lifetime of Vacations, Inc.,.from the decision of the Building Director concerning the request for an extension of temporary sales office'on Lots 7-13 and Lots 15-20, that such appeal as it affects the temporary structure be granted with the provision that the temporary extension be for no wore than forty- five days from October 21, 1980, or until the sales office has been given a Certifi- cate of Occupancy, whichever is the sooner." Mr. Logan seconded the motion.- Motion passed unaribmusly. " A? Meeting adjourned at 3:00 P..M.
