Mr, James C. Johnson"who is building a newhome on Lot.7,',Bayside
Subdivision No. 4, appeared,before the Board to request approval
to install Shakertown texture split cedar shake roof panels'on',
his home, which is being built in a No, 1. fire zone.
Mr. Johnson explained there was ample room between adjacent
buiidings and having to use a ,type B commercial type roof would
create an economic hardship due to triple cost of construction. Also,
the type of material for a type B roof would not be available until'
after the home will be ready for occupancy.
Motion made by Mr. Dean to allow the use of Shakertown shingles in
lieu of Class B roof covering, seconded by Mr..Logan. Motion
carried.
Meeting adjourned at 2:15'P.M.

Subdivision.
Mr. John Logan was requesting a height elevation variaric'e of.21-611
below the 12-ft.'Federal Flood plain requirement. The Floor slab
to
be at elevation 91-611. ,

Mr. Logan was requesting this variance in order t o-conform with the
adjoinirig homes on either side and across the str eet from his'property;
also so as not to cause drainage'problem''
F Motim made by Mr. Walker, seconded by Mr. Straub 'that.variance be
granted. Motion carried. Mr. Mogan abstained fr om voting.
