PRIM ~ Mr. Wilson distributed a listing of possible PRIM p~ojects along with a 8he~hat estimated operating budgets fqr each capital project. He stated that '\ staff was in the process of evaluating each project to determine any problems that might exist and to double check budget estimates. He said the PRIM proposal is still being considered by the City Commission and a final decision has not yet been ',' 0 Dlade. However, $2,000,000 has been added to the proposal for the acquisition of ',:.' ,land. The total PRIM proposal now approaches $5,000,000 and will quite possibly l?'e scattered over a five year period. Mr. tolood asked if the Hartin Luther King game room would be a separate and free standing building on school property. Mr. Wilson 'responded that this was not the case and, 'although it was on school property. the room addition would actually be attached to the back of the existing Martin Luther King Recreation Center. (, . . .'.~' I PARKS AND RECREATION HOARD NlNUTF.S Monday, June 22J 1987 / TIle regular meeting of the Parka and Recreation Board was held at the City Hall Annex on Monday. June 22ncl, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. Members present included Mrs. Poula Boulton, Mr. Herbert lfnycRJ Co-Chairperson Elizabeth Mct-fahon, Hr. Dorr . Snoyenbos, Nrs. Norma Soukup, Mrs. Jacquelyn Tobin and Co-Chairperson Charles Wood. Nr. Murray Fuchs wns unable to attend. Hr. Ream Wilson was in attendance. Co-Chairperson Wood chaired the meeting and asked for nction regarding the Parks and Recreation Board Minutes of May 18th, 1987. Hrs. Tobin made a motion ,that these minutes be approved ns mailed. Mr. Hayes seconded this motion which passed. Nr. Wood read a letter that was received from Board Member Mr. Mark Legue. In this let tar I I'lr. I.egue explained thn t he has decided to res ign as a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Mr. Legue stated that he learned a great deal from the Board and that he hoped to have an opportunity to use that experience in other areas of the City. Mrs. Boulton made a motion that the letter of resignation be accepted. Hr. Hayes seconded this motion which passed. Eddie C. :Hoore Parking Lot - Mr. Wilson distributed site plans of the Eddie C. Moo~e Parking Lot which is currently being advertised for bids. The lot will consist of a paved roadway with approximately 120 to 130 parking spaces. Very few trees will need to be removed. Members discussed the fact that the Eddie C. Noore Complex now fronts on Drew Street rather than McMullen Booth Road. . Two soccer fields are currently'under renovation and the end project should be quite attractive. Ms. Mcllahon commented on the numerous trees that have been planted in the medians through Drew Street. Clearwater For Youth Project ~ Mr. Wils9n updated Board Members on the Clearwater For Youth complex and stated that many committees are working very hard. The architect, Frank Mudano, is currently working on the site plan for the Belcher Road property and an agreement has been reached between the Junior College, Clearwater For Youth and the City regarding the construction of two baseball fields on'the'Junior College property.
