Wilma Barber, stated that an effort is being made within Condon Gardens to motivate residents to clean up their yards and neighborhood. Mr. Wilson suggested that if the contest is to be held on a monthly basis, the City Nursery could provide a prize each month such as a tree or a small plant, but the City could not provide plants for residential properties. Wilma Barber stated the residents are not ready for plantings on residential properties such as shrubbery, etc. because residents first need to be educated on how to care for plant materials and work on cleaning up the neighborhood.
