Tho rogular monthly meoting of tho Beautification Committee
was held at the City Hall Annex on December 5, 1979 at 9:30 A.M.
Members present were Bernard panush, Connie Lundeen, Al price,
Bill Sapp, D.C. Snoyenbos, Rita Canan and Phyllis Phillips. Mem-
bers absent wore Virginia custer, L.S. Sweat, James Martin and
Robert Thompson. Also in attendance were Ream Wilson, Parks and
Recreation Director, Bill Voght, Nursery Superintendent: and Don
Jass, Planner II for Community Development Department.

Chairman panush welcomed Rita Canan to her first meeting as
a new Beautification Committee member.
The minutes for the November meeting were approved with the
following correction: Add Al price's name to those members present.
connie Lundeen made a motion to adopt the recommendations of
this Committee regarding the Clearwater Beach Street Ends. A dis-
cussion on wooden VB. metal barriers: bricks obtained from Raiford
State Prison; grass and bush maintenance: and the parking situation
followed. Mrs. Lundeen made a motion to approve the recommendations
with the following changes:
o 1. UNIFORMITY OF SIGNS
b. Bay street ends - Public Access signs. Two (2) signs on the
street side designating width of lot.
4.' WALKWAYS
a. When feasible, put in brick walks on Gulf street ends from
, the street to the seawall.
Al price seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Mr. panush announced the next meeting would be held January 9,1980
at Martin Luther King center, 1201 Douglas Avenue, Clearwater, Florida
on the subject of BEAUTIFICATION OF NORTH GREENWOOD COMMUNITY and
would be open to the public.
A motion was made and approved for the members to meet on January
8, 1980 at 10 A.M. in the Parks and Recreation office at City Hall
Annex. Mr. Jass and a representative of Parks and Recreation will
accompany the Committee members to the N. Greenwood area for a visual
tour.

Mr. panush introduced Mr. Don Jass, who gave a presentation which
covered the,N. Greenwood area and he said it would be most helpful if
the Beautification Corrmittee would make recommendations to the com.Dev~ '
Department on ways the Federal Grant Program money might best be spent
in neighborhood'beautification. '
