by Mr. Rogers to accept the minutes of the last meeting as received
by mail. Motion carried. Those in attendance werel Chairman, Albert
P. Rogers 1 Ream Wilson, Assistant Director Parks & Recreation Department:

sented by Ream Wilson to the Lion's Club last Tuesday and also on the
presentation made on December 3, concerning Parks & Recreation activities.
Discussion was held on the Tree Give-a-way Program sponsored by
the St. Petersburg Times. The date is still open and suggestions for
a better location are asked for. Those suggested this meeting include:
Norton Park - Ed Wright Park, Sid Lickton Field, Montgomery Wards parking
lot, and- Jack Russell Stadium parking lot. The City will possibly
contribute 500 Golden Raintrees. However, as these trees are in
expensive lerio containers, approval must be sought from the Manager's
office. Further reports will be given at the January meeting. Pat
Tracy, City Forester, will check on the approximate cos~ (wholesale)
of Raintrees in an inexpensive container and report next meeting.
,The Poole property deed is in the city Attorney's office. Deal
is made with few corrections between the Attorneys.
Edgewater Drive bulkhead line has been established. There is
no need to fill. Just requires smoothing over what is there. We
have money in the Capital Improvement Program for five (5) years
towards the improvement and beautification of Edgewater Drive. Will
send a memo to the Manager's office to instruct city Engineer's office
to establish the bulkhead line. Mr. Rogers will also check with
City Engineer, Max Battle. Arthur Kruse made a tentative plan about
ten (10) years ago that can still be used. This is now in the Planning
Department and, will be searched out for review at the next meeting.
At this time, Mr. Wilson will also report on the budget.
