Michael Laursen, Personnel Director Deborah Lally, Personnel Department Nancy Degner, City Nurse Cindy Cllman, Personnel Records Specialist The meeting was called to order at 9:34 A.M. Tom Pudelskl moved to approve the minutes of February 7, 1990. The motion was duly seconded by Glenn Perry and carried unanimously. Secretary Laursen advised the Committee he Is stll\ working on the gUidelines and procedures. No new Information has been received on Michael Dandaneau, poUce Communications Operator, ~ollco Department. No new Information has been received on Jacqueline Sulek, former Assistant Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Division. However, Mr. Laursen has drafted a leUer to Ms. Sulek, at the request of the Committee, asking her the status of her request and advising her we are waiting for the . doctors' ietters. ,Deborah Patterson, Meter Reader I, Utilities Department, who submitted a request for a job-connected disability pension Is scheduled for an MAl tomorrow. Edward Volland, BuildIng & Maintenance SuperIntendent, Bulldlng & Maintenance Division, who submitted a request for a job-connected disability pension, had his Independent medIcal examination on February 20, 1990. We are wa1Ung for the doctor's report. In regard to Robert Gundel, Fleet Malnlenance. Mr. Laursen sent a letter to the Finance Division asking them to verify whether Mr. Gundel received and cashed a check In the amount of $171.47. An Authorization for Disbursement was found In his Payroll file. but Mr. Gundel has no recollection of receiving the money as a return of his pension contributions. An answer should be received by the next meeting. '.~P~ The CommUtee considered the request of Rodney E. Marder, Groundskeeper I. Parks & Recreation Department, for a pension based on years of service. Tom Pudelskl moved that Mr. Marder be' granted a reguJar pension based on his years of service. The motion was duly seconded by Glenn Perry and carried unanimously. The motion was duly seconded by Glenn Perry, and carried unanimously. , , , , Mr. Laursen, advised the Committee he had drafted n memo to Joseph DeSanUs on February 21. 1990. advising him of the CommlUee's decisIon regarding the 12% Inlerest and GO.day time IImll. The memo also Indicated to Sgt. DeSantis that tho 60 days will commence with the date of the memo. Mr. Laursen also advIsed the Committee that Mr. Nlcholson's question regarding the $373.000 shortfall was forwarded to the Finance DIvision with a request that Mr. Deignan answer In writing or attend the next '. meeting. Tom Pudelskl moved that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was duly seconded by Glenn Perry and . carned unanimously.
