'" .!'(/". " ,.. Several questions were raised concerning Henry Propheter, Senior Police Communication ',Operator, Police Department. Mr. Propheter was originally hired as a permanent full-time , employee on May 21, 1979. He became a pan-time employee on April 25, 1988. and withdrew his pension contributions. He returned to full-time status on July 27. 1988. Therefore, his new pension effective date is July 27, 1988. Discussion ensued as to whether or not . Mr. Propheter should have another physical since his is nine years old and acceptance in the Pension Plan would be based on this. The Committee was advised it has always been left to its discretion as to whether they would like another physical. Glenn Perry moved. to have Mr. Propheter re-examined before making a decision. The motion was duly seconded by Tom Pudelski and carried unanimously. Personnel will DOlify Mr. Propheter. Glenn Perry questioned Miles Lance as to whether or not he checked into the question of ,lIpre-existing" conditions as they relate to disability pensions. Mr. Lance stated his opinion that if a condition exists and the employee is approved for pension with the doctor's knowledge of' the condition, the individual would be entitled to a pension if re-injury occurs after employment. In light of this response, Mr. Nicholson withdrew his abstention and voted, in favor of Danny Alley's job-connected disability pension. >, '\ '/:~ ':},\" ',r,' .,;;!:,~,~::,,, ':,; :,:p: .>',., . ,''1'.;: ,'.'" .,;,,' " :' . i ,';.
