Risk Manager The meeting was called to order at 9:32 A.M. David Krieger moved to approve the minutes of the meeting of February 25. 1987. The motion was duly seconded by John Nicholson and carried unanimously. Dave Krieger stated he had spoken to Mr. '.:', Carey who advised him he had seen the doctor once but the doctor wants to see him agaIn before he makes a final ':, ' ,report. The doctor Is waltlng for Information from Mr. Carey's personal physicians. Nothing has been nf~jved ;, . on Walt KosIba. No new Information has been received on Robert Noonan. With regard to Barry Burton, Chairman Dunn advised Mr. Burton he would need teuers from his two doctors ,stating he's not disabled and can return to work. Mr. Burton advised the Committee that Dr. Wallace sees no 'reason why he couldn't return to work and give It a try, but the doctor dId not give him anything In writing to thfs effect. Discussion ensued regarding this matter. 'Don Petfl,rsen, Risk Manager. questioned whether any of the cases presently before the Committee were 'worker's compensation cases. Robert Noonan's request far job-connected dlsablllty Is a result of an ~';", . on-the:-job Injury. The Committee members explained to Mr. Petersen that accordIng to the "heart" bUl. -:,I:''/~ Offlc13r KosIba and Officer Carey's heart conditions are presumed to be lob-connected.
