'~_'. ;}W:~:."?:'~'.:rhe CommIttee again considered the request of John Welch for a Job-connected dlsablllty pension. Chairman ' ~6.(;L;,\~Dunn stat,ed he contacted OrB. Machler and BuUer, psychiatrists. Both doctors staled in ,heir letters and to ' :~<'~,;:,:,;',:'"Chatrman Dunn on the telephone that based on what Mr. Welch has told them. Mr. Welch's disability Is job- ~JLJ:'i::Connecled and he can no longer work os a Ponce Officer. Discussion ensued regarding the doclors. ~F/r:::><:reCommendatlons. Charlie Dunn stated afler his Investigation and dlscussioJ:1s with Mr. and Mrs. Welch, the ~~'\::'~>:r ~'doctors. and people In the Police Department, he would recommend approval of a non~lotrconnected disability ~;~};-(:::/.:,;'pensfon' rather than a Job.connected disability pension.
