City Nurae I Absent: John Nicholson, Member Chairman Dunn convened the meeting at 9:33 a.m. David Krieger moved that the minutes of the meeting of March 5, 1986, be approved. The motion was seconded by Charles Dunn and carried unanimously. Chairman Dunn read the names of the following employees to be approved for membership in the Pension Fund: Date of Employment Pension Elig. Chairman, Dunn read the name of the following employee who was denied membership in the Pension Fund: George Anderson, Tradesworker I Central Servicesi Bldg. & Haint. 'Mr. Anderson may reapply in one yeart once his blood pressure is under control. The Doctor's Walk-In Clinic did not approve or disapprove the following employees: Meg Barrow, Police Recruit John Zegz'dryn, Police Recruit Police Police , These physicals will be sent back to the Doctor's Walk-In Clinic for proper action. , ' ~ Chairman Dunn advised the Committee of the topics discussed at the Pension Rewrite Committee Meeting'. Increase age for dependents from 18 to 22 or 23 (while they are in college); Coverage of dependents who do not reside in the home of the employee; IncTeBsc the amount of minimum pension received (presently $75.00); Receipt of all contributions plus interest for employees who quit; Advisory Committee will have final say in awarding of disability pensions; and City of Clearwater will not use excess monies (amount over what actuary says is needed) for anything else as proposed under new plan for private businesses. The next meeting of the Pension Rewrite Committee will be held on March 27. 1986, at 1:00 P.M. John Nicholson was not present at the meeting to report on the pension election. Committee will receive a report from him at the meeting of April 2. 1986. The The City Nurse submitted a relating to Mr. Kingsley's will need another letter. to do. letter regarding Chris Kingsley, Firefighter, from a doctor knee problem. The Chairman advised the nurse that Mr. Kingsley She stated Mr. Kingsley is aware of that and knows what he has Discussion ensued regarding the poli~y for disability pension applicants. It was suggest~d that the two doctors' ,J.c:.tters which are presently required should be from , doctors who specialize in the i~dividual's particular problem, i.e. if it is a knee p~oblem. the letters should beifrom an orthopedic specialist. two David Krieger moved that the meeting be adjourned.
