Carole Greiner provided each Pension Advisory Committee Member with a copy of the
draft Pension Book for employees. This draft was compiled by the Committee, Carole.
and others from the Finance Department. Revisions are to be submitted and then
, 200 copies of the final book prepared for distribution to City departments, Unions.
etc.
." "
Terry Clements asked that the Committee pursue efforts to establish Annual Physical
Exams for employees on disability pension. It was determined that the Committee
could require such physicals but the related problems would have to be worked out.
Problems include yhether to bring an employee back to work if his/her disability has
been"overcome. Are they still eligible? What' if there are no vacancies? Will
lay-effs be required in some instances? What is the effect of State Certification
requirements (Police and Fire)? How will seniority be counted? Chairman Kaminskas will
'attempt to schedule a meeting with the City Manager and others (Personnel Director,
Asst. City Manager - Personnel; Asst. City Manager - Finance; Administrative
Assistant- Finance, etc.) to discuss the various concerns.
. Terry ,Clements expressed appreciation on behalf of the Pension Advisory Committee,
to Carole Greiner for her work in the Pension Book.

Both doctors report that Lt. Safos has a 15% permanent partial disability due to his

were certified copies of his three children's birth certificates. One child resides
in his household whereas be provides support for the other two who do not reside
