information.
Glenda Tarbucks
Bernard Benjamin
Barbara Weston explained to the committee that Dorothy Smith had retired with an on-the-
job 'disability and had not used all of her sick leave. It was felt that ahe did not
understand that she was entitled to her full amount of sick leave instead of half of
her accUmulated sick leave. It was decided by the committee that Carole Greiner would
contact Mrs. Smith and explain the sick leave policy to her. She could use her full
amount of sick leave and Sign a new resignation dated at the time her sick leave is
exhausted. Mrs. ,Greiner is to report back to the Pension Advisory Committee next month.
Committee discussed whether Wallace Castle has been employed long enough to qualify for
disability pension (non-job connected). It was determined that he was employed 1-4-71
and has made full pension contributions.
Secretary Laursen suggested that the Finance Department and committee members make up
list of necessary things to do when an employee retires. Everyone is to bring ideas
to the next meeting so that a retirement information package can be made up for employees.
Next meeting
covering the
scheduled for April 2, 1981. It will probably be a 2~hour meeting
ssion of the retirement package.
Betty WEtrd
meeting be adjourned.
