Proceedings of the Pension Advisory Committee meeting held October 4, 1977.
Present: Betty Ward, Chairman

Meeting commenced at 9:00 A.M. in the office of the Personnel Director.
Betty Ward moved that Robert Heup be approved for disability pension (50%) effective
August 20, 1977. Ray Kaminskas seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
Pension Advisory Committee discussed letter from Police Officer Mahoney's attorney.
Committee agreed it would be appropriate to return 80% of Officer Mahoney's pension
contributions, with the additional 20% to"be paid subject to current litigation
upholding new pension plan. Finance will be so advised.
Ray Kaminskas'moved that the Pension Advisory Committee approve the request of
Jack Wolle for normal retirement effective 11-1-77. Seconded by Betty Ward and motion
passed unanimously.,
Pension Advisory Committee recommended that the Trustees accept the following employees
into the pension plan:

Wesley Brettel requested that the Pension Advisory Committee review the matter of
WaYne Vandenberg, Firefighter, relative to his pension, i.e.,'was he reinstated after
resigning and later returning to the City.
. Wesley Brettel moved ,that Robert Fernand~ be reinstated to the pension plan if he pays
back his 80% plus appropriate interest, paid in a lump sum or by payroll deductions and
to be paid hack in not less than 2 years, Seconded by Ray Kaminnkas and motion carried
una'nimously: .

Pension' Advisory Committee members discussed the matter of terminology relating to
medical doctor and physician.
