Proceedings of the Pension Advisory Committec Meeting hcld Fcbruary 1, 1977.

Minutes of the meeting of January 5, 1977 were accepted with correction that Mrs. Bayerle
was not present at that meeting.
Chairman advised Committee that Mary Schutte had advised her that she did not desire to
be fully reinstated into the Pension Plan, but would enter as a new employee. This
information is to be transmitted to the Personnel Director by MS. Schutte in a letter.
Chairman stated she had received a letter from Lizzie Griner, widow of Daniel Griner.
Pension Advisory Committee recommended that the Trustees accept the following employees
into the Pension Plan:

Water Division, Utilities
Mr. James Vowell was rejected due to the age requirement prescribed by the Pension Act
. and Ruth Weglarz (Communications Operator, Police Department) was recommended for
rejection based on the medical examination.
Chairman and members signed the letter prepared by Mr. A. C. Lowrey, Jr., City
Treasurer certifying the pension monies to be paid to Ed Orwig upon his retirement.
Chairman advised Committee of receipt of letter regarding the death of Mr. William D.
Hancock. Mr. Hancock was a former City employee receiviog peosion and no action is I
required by the Pension Advisory Committee.
Member Wes Brettel moved that the Committee approve the request of Leslie McGee for
non-job connected disability pension as of his effective date of resignation. Seconded
by Ray Kamioskas and motion carried unanimously.
Member Ray Kaminskas' moved that the Committee approve the request of Hayward Messer
for non-job connected disability pension as of his effective date of resignation.
Seconded by Wes Brettel and motion carried unanimously.'
There was no new information available on the earlier requests of Helen Giacobetti,
John Stout or Alice Bush.
Next meeting was set for March 2, 1977 at 9:00 A.M. in the office of the Personnel
Director.
