Mrs. Green applied for pension as his widow on January 22, 1976. The Pension

The Committee expressed concern that he had requested to borrow sick leave which
was approved and which apparently had not been received by the employee. Director

prepare a memo or have an arti~le noted in the City-Gram advising the departments
to expeditiously assist employees/ widows in properly applying for pension.

subsequently asked to be reconsidered. Two such requests, from Betty Bennett
and Alex Battle, were before the Board at this time.
The Pension Advisory Committee adopted as a policy the following:
";.
The Pension Fund will pay for the original peosion physical
administered by the City Physician. Any employee who is rojected
from the City Pension Plan as a result of the original exam and
wishes to be reconsidered, may do so by providing to the Pension
Advisory Board, at his own expense, a report from an appropriate
medical specialist. The Pension Advisory Board will review such
report and tender its recommendation.
The Committee asked that the Director advise MS. Bennett and Mr. Battle of this
policy.
The P.A.C. reviewed the physical examination forms for those employees listed below
in order. to determine their recommendations to the Trustees of the Pension Plan.
After., review of the forms, it was their reconnnendation that these employees be
accepted into the Pension Plan.

The City Nurse once again advised the P.A.C. that John Greiner had not yet submitted
a report on his biopsy. The PA.C. asked the Director to send him a memo, advising
that no action would be taken regarding his entrance into the Pension Plan until
such report was submitted.
The P.A.C. asked the City Nurse to return to the City Physician, the physical
examination form for James R. McGee as he had omitted his recommendations on pension
status.
