Proceedings of the Pension Advisory Committee Meeting held January 2J 1976.
Present: Betty Ward, Chairman, Advisory Committee

Mike Laursen, Personnel Director
Meeting commenced at 9:00 A.M. in the office of the Personnel Director.
The Advisory Committee reviewed the physical examination forms for those employees
listed below in order to determine their recommendations to the Trustees of the
Pension Plan. After review of the forms, it was their recommendation that these
employees be accepted into the Pension Plan:
Norman Wood
Daryl Huber
Barbara Miller
Clerk Henry
J ames Fowler
Charles McAbee
Clifford Crawford
Allen Barber
The Advisory Committee asked the City Nurse to return the physical exam form of
Michael Mooney to the Doctor for further review.
, The City Nurse returned to the Advisory Committee, physical exam forms of
Betty Beonett and Calvin Mizell. These forms had been returned to the Doctor after
the last meeting because the Doctor had failed to indicate his recommendation.
,Dr. Andrake recommends that Betty Bennett not be accepted into the Pension Plan
and t~at Calvin Mizell be accepted. Committee concurred with his recommendation.
Personnel Director asked if report was available on John Greiner whose entry into
the Pension Plan was not acted upon due to his hospitalization for a biopsy.
City Nurse was asked 'to obtain such report.
Personnel Director presented an opinion received from the City Attorney regarding
whether an employee could receive a 100% refund of his contributions when his job
was abolished. The City Attorney's opinion is that the employee is "entitled to
rec~:i.ve only 80%.of the amounts he has contributed to the pension fund." The
Advisory Committee asked the Personnel Director to advise the employee,
Mr. Robert Henry, of the Attorney's opinion.
The next meeting was scheduled for February 5, 1976.
