Attached with the letter were two medical statements from Dr. L. J.Cordrey and Dr. B. L. Bercaw in support of the request. The Personnel Director advised tho Committee that the Civil Service Board had approved on July 8, 1974 a one year leave of absence for Detective Riendeau for medical reasons. The Advisory Committee did not have information relating to whether the disability is or is not job connected. Therefore, the City Nurse was instructed to check the necessary records to clarify this question. The Committee asked that the Personnel Director call a special meeting as soon as the appropriate information is available to expedite this request. At the request' of the Personnel Director, the Advisory Committee re-affirmed as a matter of record the following: 1. Procedure for Pension Physicals (as outlined in the Personnel Director's Memorandum to all departments dated February 26, 1974). (Copy attached) 2. Policy regarding the repayment of pension monies to the Pension Plan from those employees who resign, withdraw their pension monies, and subsequently withdraw their resignation. Meeting adjourned.
