Members present: Glenl Vantrease, Helel'\ Peters and Glonn Finkonbindor. Visitors: Mary Drew, President, C.E.A. and Gerald WeilnOl', Asst. City Manager. Chairman Vantrease stated that Minutes would stand approved as submitted if there were no objections. Director reported on assembled examinations conducted. Director reported on certifications and appointments. Director reported on Emergency Appointments. Director reported on Lay-Offs, Suspensions, and Dismissals. No Board action necessary. Civil Service Board meeting August 12, 1974 , bi-weekly in the Service & Information Division of the City Manager Department and the abolition of one position of Clerk Typist I in the same Division and Department. Seconded by Mrs. Peters and unanimously carried. 3.. Mrs. Peters moved that the Board approve the Director's recommendation to revise the seniority date of Richard Blickendorfer from October 1, 1973 to . September 28, 1973. Motion seconded by Mr. Finkenbinder and carried unanimously. \4. Mr. Finkenbinder moved that the Board approve Director's recommendation to re- classify Mrs. Pat Voorhees from Clerk Typist I to Clerk Typist II in the Parks and Recreation Department. Seconded by Mrs. Peters and motion carried. .J 5. Asst. Director Harper told Board members about additional position of Assistant to.Personnel Director which had been placed in the Budget. The incumbent in this 'position' will do research in Pay and Classification and keep pay schedules up to date. Mr. Finkenbinder moved that the Board approve the request for this additional position subject to the approval of the City Manager. Seconded by Mrs.. Peters and motion carried. .'Chairman Vantrease stated that Mr. Carroll NaIl would accept the nomination for Board Member. Mrs. Peters moved that the Board nominate Carroll NaIl to fill the unexpired term'of Arlie Schardt who resigned. Seconded by Mr. Finkenbinder and motion carried. Board Members discussed financial on a Municipal Board.
